| A butterfly release will be one of the most visually exciting and
memorable aspects of a wedding. The wedding party will surely want pictures
of these beautiful creatures. However, butterflies can be a little tricky to capture on film but with some planning you will be able to provide lasting memories. The easiest way to photograph butterflies is to shoot when they are resting on a flower. If you want to capture a picture while they are in flight, we suggest you stage a background like a building or tree. Otherwise the butterfly tends to get lost against the vast sky. Other techniques are to
actually cool the butterfly down before shooting. Butterflies are cold
blooded and within 10 minutes in the frig, they will actually pose for you
and gently flap their wings to warm up. Don’t worry about them getting too
cold.
